Our job listings at https://jobs.mt.gov offer choices for employers. You can enter a job order and search for applicants that agreed to list their resumes on the Internet. Or you can enter a job and let our staff search an even larger pool of applicants - or have us enter the job as well.
We have testing available on the "Prove It!" program that has over 800 skill assessments including office/professional, accounting, legal, and healthcare. Contact our office if you would like to use assessments to screen on your job opening.
We offer customer service workshops that you can utilize to train your staff. Our Job Service Employers' Committee (JSEC) conducts several seminars a year on topics important to businesses.
If you can visit us in person, please do so. You will find a reference center with materials to assist you with your hiring, human resource, and employment law questions. There are books, videos, and computer programs to help in writing job descriptions, doing interviews, provide discipline, and be in compliance with human rights and wage and hour laws.
Our Job Service staff strives to provide quality service to meet the employment needs of North Central Montana. In an office survey, 94% of employers were satisfied with our direct post service where job seekers refer themselves. We had a 98% satisfaction rate from employers who had our staff pre-screen applicants.
