The Capital Area Workforce System (CAWS) is a group of employment and training providers serving Lewis and Clark, Broadwater, Jefferson and Meagher counties who came together to form a new partnership in September of 1998. A list of the partners is included below.
The vision of the CAWS is to be a customer-focused employment and training system which prepares, trains and connects a highly skilled workforce to the business community. We will achieve our vision by:
- Being partners in an effective, integrated community-based delivery system of employment and training services
- Creating efficient operations that promote a seamless system for our customers
- Offering enhanced services to our shared customer that result in self-sufficiency and high levels of customer satisfaction
- Striving to continually improve our services
- Valuing an empowered, knowledgeable workforce

Unlawful Discharge/Wrongful Termination
If you believe you were discharged due to being a member of a protected class (race, creed, religion, color, or national origin, age, physical or mental disability, marital status, or sex) then you should contact the Montana Department of Labor and Industry Human Rights Bureau
If you believe you have been wrongfully terminated for any other reason, you will need to work with a private attorney to take action against the employer.
