Layoff Assistance at the Missoula Job Service

Have you been laid off? The Missoula Job Service administers state and federally funded employment and training programs. If you have questions about eligibility, please call 728-7060 and ask to make an appointment to determine your eligibility for programs.

FOR EMPLOYERS

The decision to lay off employees is one no employer wants to make. However, as layoffs do occur, inviting the Rapid Response Team from the Missoula Job Service to meet with your affected workers prior to the layoff will allow your employees to access services and programs which will help them through this difficult time. The Rapid Response is an individualized, confidential workshop designed to meet the needs of affected workers and may include topics such as filing for Unemployment Insurance, available community employment resources, and specific training for job search skills like resume building and interview techniques. If you have been laid off, we are here to assist you with your job search. Please visit our office, and use our resource room. Our Workforce Consultants are available to answer questions, review your application materials including resumes and cover letters, and help you overcome obstacles in your job search.
