Business Guide Welcome Missoula Montana Photograph

Dear Business Customer,

We are very pleased to offer you this second edition of the Missoula Business Guide, published by the Missoula Job Service Workforce Center, again at no cost to you.

The first printing of 750 copies met a very positive reception and extremely strong demand. Within a short period of time we could foresee that we would run out very quickly and needed to plan for a second edition. Rather than just printing additional copies, we decided to review and update the Guide's content, as well as reflect and integrate the comments received from a number of business customers.

The Missoula office currently maintains a staff of three Business Consultants who are available to any organization and provide assistance with individualized human resource questions, problems, and concerns such as hiring, retaining and training employees, business development, and one-stop access to employment law information. We encourage you to request any additional HR assistance not specifically covered in the guide that may require more detailed or specific information pertinent to your particular organization. Our Business Consultants are completely flexible and available to assist on-site at your organization, via telephone, email, or here in the office, depending on your needs - at no cost to you.

We all recognize that human capital will be increasingly scarce and critical to the success of business. In addition, constant change and innovation, competitive pressures exerted by the globalization of the economy, as well as the need for continuous improvement and skill enhancement, all mandate that workforce training and retention issues receive the necessary attention required for the on-going success of any business organization. This guide, especially when used in conjunction with our business consulting services, is a tool for you in the workplace. I encourage you to use it and also invite you to share any comments, questions or concerns you might have which can help us improve it.

Sincerely,

Wolfgang Ametsbichler, Manager
