The
Business Development HR Toolkit
The toolkit, developed by the Flathead Regional Business
Center offers our business customers some of the tools they need to understand
HR laws and reglations when doing business in Montana. Sections include information
on hiring, applications, interviewing, checking references, employee handbooks,
employee evaluations, employee retention, personnel records, progressive discipline,
sexual harassment, wage and hour laws, employment laws and other personnel-related
information as well as some forms and checklists to help you.

- Small Business Start Up Tools
Do you need help starting a business or assistance in helping your business grow to become more profitable? The Montana Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) focus on the creation, retention and expansion of small businesses. Each year, the Montana SBDC network counsels more than 1,500 entrepreneurs and existing business owners through direct assistance and referral.

A group of employers representing a cross section of the business community.
These employers volunteer to serve as advisors to the Montana Department of Labor
and as liaisons between the Montana Department of Labor (MTDOL) and the employer
