Business Advocate Program

Through the Business Advocacy Program, all local Job Service Workforce Centers provide enhanced services to business customers that go beyond the traditional labor exchange of matching job seekers to employer's openings. In Montana, a large majority of the businesses are small operations, lacking Human Resource departments or staff. This provides an opportunity for Workforce Services Division to fill an unmet need for many of our business customers by providing basic Human Resource management services and information.

Business Advocate staff are available in each Center to provide these enhanced services which include such things as performing job analysis, developing job descriptions and effective hiring procedures, assisting with development of employee handbooks and providing information on labor market trends, labor and human rights laws. All services are customized to meet the needs of the individual business customer.
